The government system found in Malaysia is made up of the state, federal, and local government. There are 13 states in Malaysia, and 3 federal territories that function through a constitutional monarchy, (a form of government where there is a king or any other type of monarch and rules within the constitution. This is different from absolute monarchy, which is when a monarch has complete power over their government and does not have to abide to any constitution.)
The monarch is called the "Yang di Puertuan Agong", and the current is a man named Abdul Halim.
